The JDA Assessment

An integral part of the AVA® behavioral system is measurement of a job’s behavioral demands.

JOB DEMAND ANALYSIS (JDA)

Jobs require specific behavioral traits to be performed successfully. Identifying these unique behavioral demands, and people who are compatible with them, provides the right fit for the job and improves both management and execution of work. Failure to do so often results in unmet goals, dissatisfaction, and expensive turnover. The JDA Assessment identifies the unique behavioral demands of a position while also providing a complete position description in behavioral terms.

  • Identifies the behaviors required to do a specific job successfully, changes to existing positions, and the design of positions not yet in existence

  • Suggests relevant behavioral interview questions to ask job candidates

  • Provides employers the assurance in compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) guidelines that require all assessment tools to be job-related

More on The Job Demand Analysis Process

In this process we are evaluating the behavioral activities - not the “job function”.

The job profile is established by raters who are successful incumbents, supervisors, or other employees intimately familiar with all aspects of the job to be studied.

In the analysis of jobs it is important that not only should the importance of the various tasks required on the job be analyzed, but, also the frequency with which such things occur.

IMPORTANCE: Identifies how essential is each task to the successful performance of the job.

FREQUENCY: Identifies how often is the individual actually required to perform each task in their daily work.

COMPOSITE: The relative degree of importance and frequency determined for the final behavioral demands for the job.

Supporting High-Functioning Work Environments Where Jobs Are Performed At Their Highest Level

 Insights to Boost Performance

AVA® was developed for the workplace. It assesses how an individual will function at work, providing a behavioral profile of both the individual and the behavioral demands of the job an individual will perform. This distinct picture of how someone will behave in your unique environment makes it the best predictor of successful job performance over time. As hiring managers know, placing the right individual and the right job is a key factor contributing to high performing performance and satisfaction in the workplace.
